Ok I lied – I don’t know how exactly to use the solar cooker – so hopefully someone else will chime in with directions on how to orient the box and all that. But what I do know is that:
- Soaked the beans over night.
- Bring to a boil in the morning and place in the cooker (cardboard box, aluminum foil, newspaper insulation, and a piece of glass).
- Leave there ’til dinner.
Today was a cloudy cold day and so I put the beans on the stove for another half hour because I wanted them mushy for a paste.
